As 2020 comes to an end, ACE concludes the year-long campaign celebrating five years of the program. ACE began in 2015 as a means to provide Duke and Stanford student-athletes with  international, experiential volunteer opportunities. Over the past five years, ACE has become a national model for student-athlete engagement.  The program offers a unique, one-of-a-kind experience that highlights the power of collaboration between the two athletic departments and their commitment to offering a signature service experience for their student-athletes.   To date, ACE has provided 191 Duke and Stanford student-athletes with immersive summer experiences that have contributed over 13,800 service hours to a variety of service projects all around the world. The ACE program would like to thank community partners, the Duke and Stanford Athletic Departments, and especially the program’s funders David Rubenstein and Dr. Peter and Helen Bing for making this five-year journey possible. Looking ahead, ACE continues to fulfill its mission to innovate and bring an ever-broader community of Duke and Stanford student-athletes together to engage in meaningful service experiences.
