As part of the fifth year celebration of ACE, the ACE team sat down with program alums from the Duke Men and Women’s Swimming and Diving teams via Zoom and discussed the impact the experience has had on them personally and the impact the program has had on the team culture. ACE in South Africa 2016 alum Lizzie Devitt, ACE in Vietnam 2017 alum Josh Owsiany, ACE in China 2018 alum Riley Hickman, and ACE in Peru 2019 alum Carly Perri reflected on their respective programs and spoke about their favorite moments in-country and shared how the experience has shaped their perspectives and career paths.
The Duke Men and Women’s Swimming and Diving teams have been two of the most involved teams with ACE with 23 total participants to date.
