After serving the ACE Advisory Board for three years, Jon McConnell has rotated off the board. The ACE Advisory Board welcomed Kelly Beck-Sordi, Associate Director for Cardinal Commitment of the Haas Center for Public Service at Stanford University, as a new member earlier this year.
Kelly Beck-Sordi provides leadership and management over the student-facing programs for Stanford University’s public service center. Kelly has been engaged in public service in higher education since 2003 when she joined the Haas Center’s staff as the director of the Center’s science education outreach program. In the intervening years she has been a member of the service-learning team and directed Education Partnerships, the Center’s mentoring and tutoring division. She now oversees programs ranging from public service leadership training, public service career development to education mentoring and tutoring programs.
On ACE, Beck-Sordi says “I have been inspired by the dedication, organization, and vision of our student-athletes. It is an honor to pay it back by supporting their engagement in service.”
