ACE in Place allows for remote work and because of my overseas training schedule, this opportunity will allow me to pursue both interests. I am most excited to learn about the ecological impacts of sharks to their ecosystems and ways in which I can advocate for their protection to local communities.
Hayden’s past experiences with community engagement include hosting events for math and science competitions, guiding teamwork workshops for middle schoolers, talking to young athletes about mental health, time-management, and performance, and fundraising for non-profit organizations.
