“For me, ACE offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to not only leap outside of my comfort zone and immerse myself in an entirely different culture and lifestyle, but also the ability to truly make a difference and impact the lives of others. It is the perfect way to give back and use the skills we have acquired over the years playing our respective sports. I truly could not be more excited to see what experiences lie ahead — Vietnam here we come!”

As part of the ACE in Vietnam program, Madison will teach academics, sports and life skills to students at under-resourced middle schools in the Mekong Delta with the aim of encouraging them to prepare for higher education.

Madison’s past experiences with service include coaching and mentoring a group of high school-age players on a Stanford affiliated lacrosse team. She is also a member of the Cardinal Council and the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Her team has partnered with BAWSI (Bay Area Women’s Sports Initiative) to empower young women through athletics, and with the One Love Foundation to work to end relationship violence.
