ACE is a perfect opportunity for me to spend time challenging myself, connecting with others, and contributing to positive change in Costa Rica. I’m most excited to make new friends, spend time working outside, and work on communicating and building relationships with members of the local community.
Megan’s past experiences with community engagement includes volunteer work with Duke Track & Field as well as individual service work through her church and local communities in Roanoke, VA. She is involved with Team Impact at Duke, works with Duke Track camps, spent four years as a volunteer church camp counselor, and founded a March For Our Lives chapter in high school dedicated to gun violence prevention.
