Service Opportunities
Community engagement and service lie at the heart of the ACE experience, with each program addressing the specific needs of its partner community. Whether teaching and coaching youth in Cape Town, South Africa, or assisting with sea turtle conservation in Gandoca, Costa Rica, ACE programs provide student-athletes with opportunities to build meaningful relationships, acquire new skills, and explore diverse perspectives. Student-athletes are encouraged to bring the insights and skills they gain from ACE back to their respective athletic teams.

Reflection
Before, during, and after their ACE experience, student-athletes are encouraged to use reflection to derive meaning and recognize shifts in their perspectives and understanding. Reflection helps ACE participants develop the skills and discover the tools necessary to work toward significant, informed, and valuable social change. Beyond reflection, ACE also guides student-athletes in transforming their insights into actionable steps, empowering them to make a lasting impact in their communities and the world around them.
