Jon McConnell, former senior director of the Cardinal Quarter program at the Stanford Haas Center for Public Service, died Nov. 12. McConnell was a founding member of the ACE Advisory Board from 2015 to 2018 and played an instrumental role in shaping the ACE program. He was pivotal in fostering a strong relationship between the ACE program and the Haas Center for Public Service, helping to develop ethical service training and innovative program designs that continue to impact ACE student-athletes today.
McConnell contributed significantly to ACE through countless interviews with Stanford ACE student-athletes, championing their involvement in public service opportunities. He also mentored ACE alumni, supporting their ongoing connection to Haas Center programming and public service engagement.
