Abby Artmann, ACE in China ’17 Alum and Duke Women’s Rowing senior talks with Row2k about the joys of rowing, spring goals, and future career aspirations.

Artmann shares her hopes of becoming a teacher, saying “I am majoring in psychology and I’m minoring in education. After I graduate, I’m planning on going into a masters program where I’ll be getting my Masters of Arts and Education while also working as a teacher for middle school students.”

Artmann explored her passion for working with children during her ACE experience in China, where she and 9 other student-athletes from Duke and Stanford spent two weeks teaching English and coaching sports at a camp for underserved, ethnic minority youth in collaboration with a local NGO – the China Exploration and Research Society (CERS).
