Stanford Athletics hosts an annual Board Awards Show to showcase student-athlete athletic, academic, and civic engagement accomplishments throughout the year. As part of this showcase, Stanford President Marc Tessier-Lavigne celebrates student-athlete involvement in the ACE program, a three-week immersive summer service experience with international community partners.

President Tessier-Lavigne shares that 20 Stanford student-athletes representing 15 teams participated in over 4,000 hours of service with ACE this past summer. “As student-athletes, you have many demands on your time, your energy, your attention,” President Tessier-Lavigne begins, “and yet, you are also role models…I am so proud that you have devoted your time and energy to improving communities around the world.” President Tessier-Lavigne also showed gratitude towards Helen and Peter Bing for their support of both ACE and Stanford Athletics.
