After coming to Stanford and learning about the ACE program, I was immediately interested. To be able to travel abroad to a community where we not only get to educate kids but also teach them our sports, is an incredible opportunity that I know I will cherish forever. What excites me most about the ACE program is meeting new people and interacting with the kids. I am also excited to experience something completely new and navigate the challenges that come with it.
Sophie’s past experiences with community engagement includes her involvement with National Charity League throughout high school, where she volunteered in numerous places around her community such as farms, thrift stores, elderly homes, and food shares. She also is a member of Cardinal Community, a philanthropic organization for student-athletes at Stanford.
