Cam Kerr is currently a graduate student on the Duke Men's Soccer team from Chapel Hill, NC. He participated in the ACE in Costa Rica program in 2023. Cam is passionate about how sports can bring a community together, something that he has experienced in both his time as a student-athlete at Duke as well as his trip to Gandoca, Costa Rica. He wishes to share his experiences with fellow student-athletes and encourage them to participate in a life changing program.

Conor Bohrer Ambassador Photo

Conor Bohrer is a junior on the Duke Men's Cross Country and Track and Field teams majoring in neuroscience with minors in chemistry and religion. As a member of the ACE-in-Place Thailand 2023 team, he was able to explore, develop, and share his passion for environmental conservation by spearheading a social media initiative for shark and marine conservation. His international experience with conservation has inspired him to apply a global lens to his professional interests in medicine. Conor joined a Bass Connections program that seeks to understand and improve neurosurgical systems in Africa--alongside neurosurgeons from Duke, Uganda, and Nigeria--and hopes to draw on his ACE experiences during his research.

"Since the end of my college softball career, I have been working with local teams and girls in the Bay Area to talk about hitting and all there is to softball. Having the opportunity to connect with young women through the sport that's given me so much has been truly eye-opening. My time with ACE showed me just how much I enjoy leading and serving as a mentor, and my role as a mentor for these girls has been incredible."
