For Summer 2025, ACE offered two in-person, international-based programs focused on supporting community-based organizations located in Costa Rica, Panama, and South Africa. Twenty-eight Duke student-athletes representing 14 different sports teams participated. Across the three programs, ACE student-athletes contributed over 1334 hours of service with organizations focused on youth development, education, sustainability and marine conservation, food insecurity, and sports enrichment.

After coordinating with our community partners in Panama, the difficult decision was made to cancel the ACE in Panama program due to widespread national protests that led to school and business closures and disrupted travel across the country.  In response, ACE in Panama participants were offered the option to join either the ACE in Costa Rica or the ACE in South Africa programs..
