Students will tour the Panama Canal and get to see ships going through the locks during their time in Panama City.

Participants will tour Casco Viejo, the historic district of Panama City, during their time in Panama City at the end of the program.

Connor Barket is a current Junior on the Men's Wrestling team. He is studying Computer Science and Mathematics. As a part of the ACE in Panama team he found a community of fellow student athletes who developed a passion for community service. Together they founded the Rising Athletes Foundation, helping local high school athletes realize their athletic and academic dreams on the next level.

Delaney Thomas is a sophomore on the women's basketball team and participated in the ACE in Panama program in 2024. Delaney greatly enjoyed participating in the ACE program and being a part of a community so much bigger than herself, seeing the experience as humbling, gratifying, and incredible.

Zizi Newhard is a Sophomore on the Women's Fencing team and a participant in the 2024 ACE in Panama program. She is majoring in Environmental Science and has a strong passion for sustainability and the outdoors. During her time in Panama, she helped to facilitate a volleyball camp and tournament for elementary school students. She is very grateful for the incredible experience ACE provided to her and hopes to bring what she has learned to further community engagement at Duke.

Andrew Li is a sophomore on the Swim and Dive team. He participated in ACE in Panama in 2024, which taught him the value of personal connections and gratitude. Andrew is excited about ACE and wants others to be excited too, which is why he became an Ambassador.

Paige Bitting is a junior on the Field Hockey team and is studying psychology. She participated in ACE in Panama 2024, where she had the opportunity to engage in the community and share her passion for sports by teaching volleyball to elementary-aged kids. Paige is excited to share the impact of her ACE experience with others.

Participants will support sports camps at two rural schools in Panama

The gym in Valle de Anton is located a 10 minute walk from the accommodation. The gym has AC with basic functional workout machines including kettlebells and dumbbells.
