I see ACE as an experience that will help me grow and develop as a person outside of my sport. At the end of the day, life is an accumulation of experiences. When I saw the opportunity to work on a project I am passionate about with extraordinary people, joining was a no brainer.

Connor Krug’s past experiences with community engagement includes:

  • Buddy Up Tennis Volunteer – completed more than 40 hours of community service. This is a program designed for special needs children. It assists in developing their motor skills, basic agility, and hand eye coordination, while learning the basics of tennis.
  • Teen Court Volunteer – a youth volunteer for a diversionary program designed to stop youthful delinquent behavior. Youth volunteers serve as the prosecuting attorney, defense attorney, jurors ,and bailiff.
  • Brandi’s Wish Tennis Event – completed 10 service hours to help raise awareness for prescription drug misuse. Participated in charity tennis exhibition, assisted in event day set-up and check-in, and assisted in marketing material design and ticket sales.
  • The V Foundation for Cancer Research – completed more than 25 hours of volunteer service. Assisted in mailings and marketing materials, coordinated corporate sponsorships and media requests/interviews for the Dick Vitale Annual Gala that benefits pediatric cancer research.
