To me, ACE represents a once-in-a-lifetime chance to immerse myself in something totally new, to expand my breadth of knowledge, to understand a culture different from mine and the people that embody it, to change the world for the better. My dream is to work internationally in sustainable development, so ACE will be an unforgettable three-weeks that not only give me a taste of that dream but also provide knowledge that I will use my entire life.
Emilie Moore’s past experiences with community engagement includes sewing face masks which were donated to a hometown hospital to support nurses and patients during the pandemic, coaching young divers at her local club team, volunteering weekly at church services, and working donation drives for a pet support organization. At Stanford, Emilie is a member of Student Athletes for Sustainability, where she helps organize campus wide events and outreach programs focused on environmental sustainability.
