“Participating in ACE in India is important to me because I will get to experience a culture that I never have experienced before while learning new things about the people around me and myself. This program incorporates volunteer work of interacting and planning, which will both be beneficial to me in the future.”
India’s past experiences with service include volunteering in a nursing home and a psychiatric facility with adults and adolescents as part of her the service-learning courses she has taken at Duke. India also tutors children and collects toys and clothes for children during Christmas time.
