The ACE program makes it possible for someone like me, who is curious and enthusiastic about international service but has no prior experience, to get involved. I’m very excited to live in and learn about a new place this summer and to hopefully make a positive contribution to the local community.
As part of the ACE in India program, Maddy will serve as a coaching assistant for sports activities, teach English as a second language courses, and promote computer literacy initiatives for youth at a community center in Dakshinpuri, New Delhi.
Maddy’s past experiences with service includes volunteering at high school track meets and helping out with Providence Cobras, a youth track club.
