“Sports and athletics have played a major part in my life and I have always enjoyed working with children, so when I heard about the ACE in China program and the opportunity to work with children through sports, I thought it was the best of both worlds. Furthermore, a three week summer program was the perfect opportunity to get the abroad experience while still allowing me to continue focus on my goals as an athlete.”
As part of the ACE in China program, Jack will contribute to the sustainable development of underserved communities through youth environmental education and sports while learning about conservation and preservation in Yunnan Province.
Jack’s past experiences with service include work with Children’s Champions, through the Wender Weis Foundation for Children. He has also volunteered with H.O.M.E.S. Inc in Kentucky and the Cordi-Marian Center in Chicago.
